Guest guest
Hello Sandeep, Recently I inquired about testing for my duaghter for CMT 1A and it is $7,000. She is going to have testing done on Thursday and we have insurance. It is important in my stand point to get the children tested especially if their parents have insurance as this will prevent emotional turmoil and costly medical bills for them and their families in the future. I know nothing about foot drop surgery. Hope this helped some, Heidi
Guest guest
Hi, I had a chat with a leading Genetic Doctor here in New Delhi,India, who told me that it will cost Rs. 12000 ($266) for the test. They will take my blood and do part of the genetic isolation process here in Delhi and than send the result to Liverpool wherein rest of the test will be done. I am not sure if the test recomended to you are the same as the one which my doctor is recommending. Warm Regards, Sandeep
Guest guest
Hi, We have genetic testing in New Zealand for CMT. They take bloood and send it away for testing and it's all free. I don't understand why your countries charge for it??? Megs *** Megs, different countries have different health care policies. ~Gretchen
Guest guest
I just think it stinks that you guys have to pay for something that should be free. Even before they had the testing in NZ 5 years ago we had to send our blood to Aussie and it was still free. Megs
Guest guest
I with you Megs. DNA testing is free in Canada also. I find it extremely unfair that someone would have to pay as much as $7,000. That really sucks! Different countries, different health care systems.
