I have AFOs called Townsend braces. It's like the metal ones but made out of

titanium alloy. They can come in colors. I just have white. Unlike the metal

ones, these slip in the shoes so you don't always have to wear the same shoes.

Just look up Townsend braces on the web and it should come up.

They put channels in the heels of your shoes to recieve the braces. That way

you are able to wear most any type of shoe. I have tennis shoes, hiking boots,

dress shoes fixed for my braces. This type of connection of brace to shoes has

been used for a long time.
