Dear Colleagues, The lousy Florida bill has passed the Florida legislature and is ready to be signed by Gov. Rick , MD who according to reports from the Florida Delegate to the ACA doesn’t much care for chiropractors…. Chiropractors in Florida will now be limited a max total of $2,500 per claim but wait it gets even better…. To treat auto cases DCs will now require a referral from either a medical physician, osteopath, nurse practitioner or (drum roll please) physician’s assistant! …and only certain injuries will qualify for chiropractic care…wonderful eh? Will we let Oregon be next? The Oregon Chiropractic Association has been and will continue to meet on this issue we must address abuse by a few in the profession. Oregon has an excellent auto PIP law and is now one of only 12 remaining states with PIP our State Association is looking out for you and will be proactive and preemptive we are not going to simply sit back, do nothing and be reactionary. Doctor are you a current member of the OCA? If not now is the time we need your financial help and we need your ideas…please pick up the phone now and call the OCA office at 503-256-1601 and join for a little as $66/month which you can have charged to your VISA monthly making membership financially easy…. If you have any questions call me any time, Vern Saboe 541-231-4528 Cell
