Foods For Weight Loss:

In order to reduce weight and to maintain better health, foods that

contains six tastes, namely, sweet, sour, astringent, bitter, pungent

and salt should be taken in the diet, as balanced nutrition along with

physical activity like walking and other fitness exercises, as advised

by Health care professionals. Adding these foods to the regular diet,

not only maintain general health but also prevent health disorders and

rice, millets, grains or pulses like moong dhal, Bengal gram, green

gram and vegetables like cabbage, spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, broad

beans, green peas, curry leaves, and spices like cardamom, garlic,

turmeric, chillies, and fresh fruits like apples, avacodos, grapes,

raisins, and oils like olive oil and mustard oil, and honey, butter

The phytochemical known as curcumin found in turmeric is supposed to

turn off certain genes that cause heart muscle enlargement and heart

hypertension, thereby improves heart and cardiovascular health.

Cardamom helps to burn fats and improves digestion. The substance

called as capsaicin found in chillies helps to burn calories quickly,

and improves metabolic rate as capsaicin is thermogenic in nature.

Adding 10 to 15 Curry leaves per day to the daily intake of food helps

to lose weight as it reduces cholesterol and fats and able to clear of

It's funny... those are the carb-laden foods that made me fat, and it was by NOT

eating them that I was able to lose the weight.
