Guest guest
After 8+ years of urinary problems due to LD, Flagyl has stopped it. What a pleasure to not need a bathroom every hour or less! Sue
Guest guest
Hi there. I don't know anything about urinary problems coming on when you get older with CMT but I believe it does affect us in some way. For example my mum, myself, my brother and my daughter (9) all have CMT and we all wet the bed till at least 10 years of age. My son (5) who doesn't have CMT does not wet his bed and my other son who is 3 with CMT, well, he's too young for me to know yet as we have just taken him out of night nappies and he will wet if I don't take him to the toilet once during the night. My sister who doesn't have CMT did not wet the bed, so I have come to the conclusion that maybe not with all CMTer's but with some that it does play a part. Guest guest
Yes I have had the urinary and bowel problems and was told by a Dr. that CMT effects all areas where nerves are attached to muscles so both areas would be affected. My mother also had that problem very bad. in OK
Guest guest
Hi Jim, I've got the urinary problem in a different way, when I have to go, (even though I'm a woman..don't know if that makes a difference) when I try to go, it takes awhile for my brain to tell my downstairs department to start to go..Sometimes I have to sit for awhile and it drives me crazy. I'm talking a good 10 to 15 minutes sometimes. I read this has to do with our brains not telling our pp parts to get going. Gretchen?? take care,
Guest guest
Thanks to those who replied. You have reassured me I wasn't making it up and I will pursue this with one or both specialists. I found the post about the childhood bedwetting interesting as I struggled with this until early adolescence. As usual, the members of this forum have come through!
