Hi , Karon, and ,

I'm from San Diego too. I was referred by MDA to Larry ,

Certified Orthotist. You can call him directly at : (858) 278-0518.

He's a nice guy, works with MDA and also accepts my insurance (Kaiser).

In my case my primary insurance picks up 80%, MDA pays the rest. He has a lot of

CMT experience and he really takes an interest in my case. I have lots of issues

with regard to bracing since I waited so long to do anything about it. My ankles

roll pretty bad, I have wicked calluses and my job requires lots of standing and

walking.

When I first saw him, I was constantly moving to keep my balance (rocking back

and forth/ side to side) and had poor posture. Now I can stand straight and

perfectly still without losing my balance- a must have for a Phlebotomist. I've

been wearing down my calluses and feel that I've made real progress in the last

year and a half. My back feels so much better and my fatigue is less which lets

me do more fun stuff. I also notice that escalators and stairs aren't a problem

like they used to be.

I made a webpage when I first got them, complete with photos. I think

they are unique when compared with other braces I have seen, check it

out:

Hope this helps,
