Selling chart notes?

In a scenario where you have hired another DC as an independent contractor to

work with you and co-treat your patients, would you recommend including language

in your contract about the possibility of them opening shop elsewhere and

wanting to take patients from your practice with them?

I prefer to just not worry about it, but I reckon some agreement of " buying "

those patients is not out of the norm. Can anyone comment? And is there a

customary rate per chart out there?
