i guess it does depend who is prescribing it. However, I remember reading

it, either in the insert or the pdr that it is usually taken by people who have

a tolerance to narcotics.

Sincerely,

Also, if you had problems with the adhesive on the original patches try the

generic. They are smaller and they don't itch me at all. You might like them

better.

Joyce,

The Fetanyl pain patch did not make me nauseous, but it caused my skin

allergies to flare up - I started scratching, bad, all over. So my time on the

patch was about 2 weeks (I think I lasted all of maybe 6 or 7 patches). After

none of my skin creams worked, I knew something was wrong. Once I stopped the

patch, the scratching stopped too.

The patch is not stopping the pain in my hands. Did it for you? I just

started on 25mg what about you. What is anyone doing to control the burning

pain, any new meds, please help I'm at wits end.

Joyce *** Joyce, I never had pain in my hands. I can't quite remember what mg

the patch I used was, I think it was 100, because it was post-op pain. For my

burning feet, I use Elavil (Amitriptyline). Neurontin also helps some people.

The newest one for pain in Lyrica, maybe ask your doctor about this for your

situation. ~ Gretchen
