I continue to get faxes offering me quick pay of $37.70 on a billed charge of $58.00 for Cigna healthcare 98940 cpt code. I have to date trashed these requests.

Any experience out there that says I should reconsider? I have contracts with other group carriers that pay me slightly higher than this. Very few payors actually pony up the $58 billed charge. I think that is the same one United Healthcare uses as well. I bill them and then they start faxing me copy after copy asking me to accept an "expedited payment" which is generally much lower but guaranteed. I just shred the offers. I even had a call recently asking me why I was ignoring their offers. They thought they were being generous. I simply asked the caller if he was willing to accept a 25 to 45 percent drop in his wages just to "expedite" his paycheck. He said no, he probably would not. End of conversation. I generally receive payment as expected according to the patient's plan.
