Cathleen,

I can't comment on hand pain since I don't have too much. However, your

comments on anesthesia peaked my interest.

I just had foot surgery on the 10th and have had very little pain so far.

Probably thanks to good pain killers. I'm not a big pill taker so I have tried

not to use the pain killers and haven't really needed to very much. But now I am

wondering how I will be effected in a

few more weeks or months. I have had many surgeries and never had any side

effects of anesthesia until this time.

I woke up crying (which I understand some people do when they come out of

surgery). It was just wierd since it never happened before. Anyway this surgery

was done in the hopes of taking away some of the foot

pain I have (plantar fascia pain). I did research the effects of anesthesia on

CMT prior to surgery but as you said we are all different. So it's going to be

interesting to see what progression, if any, I have in the near future.
