Guest guest
Georgia, When I posted to Deni about othotics and being in water, I was referring to " in-shoe orthotics " NOT AFOs. In-shoe orthotics go in your shoe, under the foot to give support. Nothing goes up the leg, like AFOs. In shoe orthotics can be made of most anything, except hard plastic, as that will hurt. Most AFOs I have seen are plastic, or else metal, but there are some made from carbon graphite. AFOS are Ankle Foot Orthotics and help with footdrop. I do not have footdrop, I just need the bottoms of my feet supported. My legs are very strong and I do not need support. Gretchen
