Joana,

If there is already muscle atrophy in the leg, no amount of exercise

can restore that. But, surrounding muscles can compenstate and be

strenthened, assuming they are not atrophied too. There is some really

good information on this in the book " Rehabilitation Management of CMT "

by Paolo Vinci. If you join the AICMT, they will send you the book. The

website is aicmt.org The book explains so much about CMT and is

written in English.
