Guest guest
Dear Dawn: My name is from the land of the Illini, and am a retired teacher of 43 years. I, too, have had CMT ---since age 5 that's 74 years ago--. I've taught HS, grade school, and basic adult education. I see many of my former students who are doctors, nurses, PhDs, business people and am humbled by how well they have done. Yes, CMT has been a drag, but I've been divinely fortunate to not have had any major calamities in the classroom, although teaching chem & physics labs got a bit awkward to manipulate, but my students would lend a hand. I think one of my greatest thrills was teaching GED students. They were older more mature & focused on their goals.I enjoyed it very much, and I know you would like it. I taught for the local Junior college. You might check with them. Some HS school districts have GED programs. I taught Adult Basic Education in the state department of criminal justice system where many passed the GED exam. Good luck to you, Dawn, I know you can do it,
