Guest guest Posted February 28, 2012 Report Share Posted February 28, 2012 Hello listees, I am looking for someone who would be willing to assume the role of Oregon's Medicare rep. Generally one would keep the profession informed regarding Medicare and Chiropractic and serve as the "answer person" (sometimes referred to by some on the list as Medicare Guru). The rep would meet three times a year with the Oregon Medicare r Advisory Committee. This committee includes reps from the medical community as well as those representing other non-medical health providers and meets at the OMA headquarters in Portland. I generally attend the meetings via phone conference from the comfort of my office. Also, the new Oregon rep would meet monthly, via a one hour phone conference, with the director of the ACA Medicare committee and his/her chiro rep counterparts from each of the other states. Discussion always revolves around current issues regarding Medicare and Chiropractic and helps in understanding those issues so information can be disemminated to the Oregon profession at large. I have found this postion interesting and rather challenging but certainly not a waste of time. Why am I seeking a replacement? Well, life is moving me in a different direction and I feel I just cannot give this position the attention it needs. Anyone interested is welcome to contact me on or off list. J.
