Guest guest
Hi: Don't get bogged down with the scientific/medical model. What suffers want is relief. so for those suffering from MCS, I would suggest you google Multiple Chemical sensitivity and NLP. Multiple Chemical Sensitivity: Toxicological and Sensitivity Mechanisms [ABSTRACT + FULL TEXT] Multiple Chemical Sensitivity: Toxicological and Sensitivity Mechanisms Abstract MCS has been confirmed by genetic evidence showing that six genes that influence the metabolism of these chemicals, all influence susceptibility to MCS. It is likely that chemicals act along these same pathways, leading to increased NMDA activity when they trigger sensitivity responses in MCS patients. The NO/ONOO- cycle is based on well documented individual mechanisms. The interaction of this cycle with previously documented MCS mechanisms, notably neural sensitization and neurogenic inflammation, explains many of the previously unexplained properties of MCS. This overall mechanism is also supported by physiological correlates found in MCS and related multisystem illnesses, objectively? measurable responses to low level chemical exposure in MCS patients, many studies of apparent animal models of MCS and also evidence from therapeutic trials of MCS-related illnesses. Some have argued that MCS is a psychogenic illness, but this view is completely inconsistent with this diverse data on MCS and related illnesses and the literature claiming psychogenesis of MCS is deeply flawed. In addition, two rare predictions that can be used to test psychogenesis both lead to rejection of the psychogenic hypothesis. http://www.aseq-ehaq.ca/ma_es/es_drmartinpall.php? Full Text plus 116 References also discusses tests. http://www.aseq-ehaq.ca/ma_es/pdf/MCS%20Toxicological%20and%20Sensitivity%20Mech\ anisms%20by%20%20L.%20Pall.pdf
Guest guest
Actually , I have had MCS since 1988 - and have been the owner or a group for Environmental Illnesses since 2005[ MCS and Mold sensitivities plus Electromagnetic Hypo-Sensitivities are all Environmental Illnesses] Half of the member of this group are American and the other half Canadian. There are many people with MCS whom want relief , yes; however many are not prepared to invest time and money on something unless they understand why it might help alleviate their symptoms and heal the damage. I have used EFT and so have many others with MCS - but it is not recommended as effective by many of the doctors unfortunately. I do not consider EFT nor NLP a cure for MCS but do agree that they are both useful and effective tools/treatments - for everyone with any health issues actually, in my opinion. People with MCS often tend to trust their Environmental doctors if they have one and many of even these doctors do not recommend NLP nor EFT unfortunately . I personally consider this is partly because in the past there have been doctors, etc whom have tried to convince society & the governments that MCS is 'all in their head' - and it has been brought to my attention that this still often happens in the States even in these supposedly enlightened times. I find that truly amazing as there is so much biological evidence and various tests these days. In Canada MCS is " officially " a disability and legally has to be accommodated - the website for the Canadian Charter of Human Rights even has available on its website a free downloadable pdf file on the medical reasons why MCS is an official disability as well as a pdf file on the legal reasons why MCS is an official disability as well as why it must be accommodated. Inspite of this however we still have problems with accommodation sometimes - if we take it to court we do win, but that is a hassle and not something that most people like doing. Do you practise NLP ? blessings Shan > > Hi: > Don't get bogged down with the scientific/medical model.
