Guest guest
Welcome Edie, I want to give you some advice people gave me when I was in your shoes. Don't worry until you need to You can have your daughter tested or wait it out. I was sure my youngest son had CMT when he was two. He seemed to just not be keeping up with the other kids. He is now 8 and CMT free and running faster then his peers. You just can't know for sure.
Guest guest
Welcome Edie! I guess a blood test would be in order, and then the Dr. ought to be able to help you with a course of treatment. Based on my experiences with CMT and peer interaction from a very young age, I think that giving her a lot of positive reinforcement and positive role modeling is very important. Regardless of the course this disease takes in each of us, we need to learn to live our lives to the fullest, and a positive attitude and healthy self-esteem are key elements in that endeavor. Blessings,
