Guest guest
To all CMTers, Yes, it is me the one and only advocate of my children. Well, I am just so disappointed in one of the MDA doctors. He refused to do a CMT test on my daughter whom is 5 months old. Not that I need the test done today, but by the time she is at least 11 months old. The doctor's " reasoning " was she is not " SYMPTOMATIC " . This is such a poor excuse!! This doctor is a neurologist and he should not be able to practice such goings on. However, another hospital Dartmouth Hitchcock has agreed to do the testing and will even order the test before we get there. So what are others opinions on this matter. I understand we must wait until she is a bit older---not a problem, however as her parent I believe I have the right to know if she has CMT--as I could not help her medically if I don't know whether she has it or not. I am so frustrated with this situation. I am going to write a letter to the MDA. Does anyone know where the main office of the MDA is? I thank all those CMTers out there it is great to have the support in this time in my life. Sincerely, Heidi
