Guest guest
, The cold feeling thing has happened to me before, I just can't remember quite when in time, but know it happened after extensive exercise. I now seem to be managing better when I do my long walks (I marathon walk, not for speed, but for charity) by wearing good inserts and using ibuprofen gel after - it controls the inflammation. My doctors told me with our feet it is like walking without any shock absorbers, so we get more broken small capillaries/inflamed tissue. My biggest thing now is a feeling of twitching in my legs, which I still have not pinpointed a trigger other than exercise. And I am not willing to stop feeling fit for the sake of ending a twitching muscle! As for everyone with weak hips, I also had this pointed out to me by my physio. The talk fascinates me. I have some very simple exercises to do which strengthen the inner hip muscle, done at home or anywhere. I have also been suggested to do a lot of stretching, especially for my hamstrings, to keep my balance. Email me off list if you want a simple description of the exercises - I will try to draw and scan this weekend. A while back I emailed about seeing a nutritionist. If there is interest, I can repost with info about the recommendations she has made, and a book she suggested. Best wishes from a sunny London - it was sunny, blue skies, and beautiful today. I love days like this that make me appreciate life! - Donna from London
Guest guest
Hi, Thanks for the replies. It has made me feel better actually. I was worrying that I had heart failure. I saw my doc yesterday and he said the same thing. ie it's CMT and long walking causing it. I also get the twitching in the legs. It's a strange sensation when I'm relaxing. Anyway, thanks to all of you that replied. It was very much appreciated, thank you.
