Guest guest
Hi Barbara: Welcome to you and your son to . I started having tremors at 14. Amitriptilyne does help to reduce my tremours, but it caused me to have a dry mouth. My dentist prescribed " Salagen " (pilocarpine) x 5mg. This does help and also helps to prevent dental decay caused by a dry mouth. Saliva is important to good teeth. My son who I suspect has CMT started to have tremours at 15. I do recall on several occasions that people thought I was nervous. (slow dancing, golfing - especially putting, trying to use a screwdriver, etc. etc.). I did not know what was causing the tremors until I was 50 years old. I lived a lifetime not knowing - but CMT sure did answer a lot of questions about my health. Let your son he is not alone when it comes to tremors, and they can probably be controlled. Regards and Welcome
