Guest guest
Hi. This is tough... Has anyone else had the experience of having their child get diagnosed with CMT and then personally getting symptoms themselves? I have been going to the gym and have noticed a definate weakness on one side... and found that I can't stand on my tiptoe on my left side...which is strange because I used to do ballet... Tough... and it really isn't a big deal compared to what my son is going through... at 19 he has major mobility problems... and here I am at 49... Just wondering... Guest guest
Barb, CMT can hit us at any age. We have it, but in some people it comes on in early ages but for others, it's later in life. Example: My twin diagnosed at 2 yrs. Me, at 50. It just took it's sweet time hitting me into reality. Like a door didn't open for 48 years. Then it was open and wham it let me know.
