The goals of rehabilitation for patients with peripheral neuropathy are to maximize and prolong independent and safe locomotion and function, inhibit physical deformity, and provide access to full integration into society. The services of multiple disciplines are required to fully achieve these goals and include physicians, nurses, therapists, orthotists, social and vocational counselors, and psychologists.
