Guest guest
You described my feet to tee. Unfortunately in my case my foot did get infected and what an ordeal to get it resolved. It is trully weird how one thing doesn't hurt and the next way it does, now I have found a good thing about CMT, I had a wicked case of chiggers around my ankles, they didn't feel at all or itch but went to the Dr. over " this weird rash " , I recently had heat rash around my sock line and once again no feeling. Guest guest
, hi there, I have some what the same problem. I can have the tests where they stick the needles in the bottom of my feet and I can't feel it. But if I step on some thing even with slippers on some thing small like a small rock or some thing I am in screaming pain for a few min. but it goes away pretty fast. Guest guest
Hi , I do have the problem where if I step on the littlest thing when I'm barefoot, it hurts like the dickens! However, with my feel swelling so much this time of year, I feel so much more comfortable barefoot when I am at home. I just curse alot when I step on something! lol I also check to make sure I didn't do any damage to the foot... I am at the stage that I can't feel much in the way of pleasurable sensations in my feet - which makes that part of a massage a bummer - but I certainly can still feel pain! Sometimes I feel like the Princess & the Pea, " Ouch! There's a grain of sand in my shoe! "

Guest guest
, YUP!! That sounds like something that would happen to me, but the most recent one I like is the time about 2 months ago..I was at the computer and for some reason looked down. There was a huge pool of blood down there, and I told my boyfriend, then went to the bathroom to get something for it. Well, evidentally I had stubbed my foot in the bathroom at least an hour before that because that is where the blood started from!...So like you, it's scary because something can happen and it's a time delay thing sometimes. Oh well. Yes, we have to be careful.
Guest guest
, You are so right about the massage part. Jeff will do my feet, and I do thank him, but most of the time it hurts. It used to feel good, not any more.
Guest guest
, I had a problem not feeling my little toe having a small cut in it. I felt no pain and it got infected and I almost lost my toe. I feel nothing I step on and I never feel my EMG's. I walk in my home barefoot because shoes are not comfortable but I know I am taking a big chance on hurting my feet. I do feet inspections several times a day. I have also broken my little toes several times by stubing my toe on furniture going to the restroom during the night and even worse I broke my ankle and never felt the pain. I only found out I broke the ankle after I twisted it and went to the doctor, Xrays showed the break and the healing in the bone. I guess AFOs kept my ankle straight enough to heal,it was winter so I wore shoes all the time. So inspect those feet often.
