Guest guest
I live in Seattle area, Eastside, and went for an annual checkup at Evergreen clinic, dr. Brown. He charged me as a doctor visit and annual checkup, because I asked for vit D blood test. He said - everybody in Seattle is deficient, so you don't need test, just take a supplement. I said- I am already taking supplement, I want to know where is my blood level now. And then when I spoke to a manager, her name is Corinne, she said - you used to have low vit D blood level, now you are taking vit. D supplement, so it's pre-existing condition, and that's why we are charging you as a doctor visit. She said - I can send you papers explaining why vit D is NOT a part of an annual checkup. How do I deal with this bureaucracy? I certainly will never go again to that Evergreen clinic. Or is it like this everywhere?
