Guest guest
Hi Canaan, Except for the part about trying to start a family you sound like my twin. I was diagnosed with type 2 in January. The pain I have is intolerable. I am on Neurontin however it has only helped for a few weeks and my pain comes back. My neurologist keeps upping the dosage but right now it doesn't seem to help. I too get so fatigued that going shopping or cleaning my house wears me out to where I need a 3 hour nap. I'm having plantar fascia surgery in June in the hopes that it will take away some pain. Just a smidge is all I'm looking for. For me the sour mood comes from pain. I put on a happy face at work but unfortunately my other half takes the brunt of my pain when I get home. I'm 39 and over the past few weeks have been looking at this very seriously and wonder how I'm going to work to retirement age. I can't even imagine the pain and tiredness in another 5 years let alone another 15 to 20. My boyfriend has been great with this doing more housework and making his own dinners as I just don't have the energy after work. I can't give you advice on having kids as I do not have any of my own but I think if I could I would. But that is a decision only you and your spouse can make. I've heard of herbal supplements and vitamins that may help. Maybe talking to your MDA doc or an OB/GYN would help. I wish you luck and I wish our pain would take a long vacation!
