Guest guest
Hi all, My name is Betty, I don't post often, but I read all the posts. My son Desmond ( 14 years old has CMT ) had surgery (bilateral tendo achilles lengthening, midfoot and calcaneal osteotomies) for both feet on May 31 at Toronto Sick Kids hospital. It took 3 hours. After the surgery he had high blood pressure for 3 days and not be able to eat for 4 days, he was in hospital for 7 days. A week and half a ago he had so much pain and we took him back to hospital. They opened cast and found out his both feet had infection. His recovery is very slow and he lost quite a lot his muscle strength, but he is in good spirit and he went back to school last Friday to write his final exam and finished all his school work. I will keep posting. Betty
