About a week or so ago I offered to share a few things.

I have been to a nutritionist, and she recommended steering my diet to avoid

saturated fats, basically limiting all meats, but I can still have things that

fly (all poultry and game birds) and live in the water (seafood, fish,

shellfish) whenever I wish. Her studies were at the Institute of Nutrition in

the UK and she has ION recognition (necessary here to make sure you are going to

a great nutritionist, not a poser). She was also one of the founders of the

Food Doctor practice, so is a big believer of no milk products for women (breast

cancer risk), vitamin C (even large doses), and

about 10 portions of fruit and vegetables a day. She is a remarkable woman and

I am sure that incorporating her recommendations into my life and exercise and

physio routine can do no harm.

The book recommendations:

Udo Erasmus, Fats that Heal, Fats that Kill

The Food Doctor, Vicki Edgson and Ian Marber

As for physio, I continue to see a man for physical therapy related to hip and

quadriceps weakness. The exercises are simple and help. When I went on Friday,

he asked if I knew about any back problems that occur due to structural / physio

imbalances due to CMT. He apparently had seen a patient with severe back pain

who also had CMT. Does anyone know of any articles on this matter? I would

like to pass to him.

Thanks, and have a great week,

Donna
