Guest guest
Thanks for all the suggestions regarding SSD - I appreciate it. It turns out they didn't even look at my neurologist records, including my EMG and I even made copies and took it to them. Hopefully the second time they will. It is frustrating and I'm not sure how other people deal with the pain/fatigue from CMT but the last thing I want to do when I'm in pain is to deal with all the hoops you're made to jump through when you become disabled. I know you have to and I will but it is incredibly frustrating. I wore shorts with my AFOs for a Dr.'s appointment yesterday - it was the first time I've ever gone out in public in shorts wearing my braces- I was always self-consious, but you know it really wasn't that bad and I was comfortable which is what matters. I think it is so important to work on maintaining a positive attitude with CMT (working on that)and just live life the best you can. Thanks again to everyone for their help - I don't post that much but I always receive my best information on here...thanks to Gretchen as well - your efforts mean a lot.
