Guest guest
Hi, I do not normally post on the site I just read every one elses. Last week I as hospitalized with a blood clot 3/4 the length of my leg. I have worn AFOs for nearly 4 years with never a problem, but my vascular DR. seems to feel, that they may be the culprit. Just wondered, if anyone else has had this problem before. Thanks for any input I can get. I do not want them taking my mobility away from me. Guest guest
Hi , Would you mind telling me how much aspirin you take daily to prevent blood clots? Thanks, Judith
Guest guest
Hi, Judith. First of all I want to tell you that no doctor suggested I take aspirin. I decided that on my own. I take one baby aspirin daily with my other vitamins. Since it's been proven that aspirin prevents strokes (which are caused by blood clots), I figured it should have the same effect for blood clots elsewhere in the body. In any case with such a low dosage, I don't think the aspirin will hurt me.
