Hi Joana,

Finding this research was a surprise to me, but makes complete sense

and explains alot in my life. I wouldn't add extra iron without asking

your doctor and re-evaluating how much iron you are getting in your

diet from the foods you eat. Ask for your Ferritin levels to be checked.

I am trying to find out more about the myelin/iron connection. Anemia is

different. I had that following back surgery, which is why the doc suggested the

Blackstrap Iron to begin with. Subsequent tests do not show anemia. But I

continue to take it as I do believe it is of benefit to me, especially in the

area of energy production.
