Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I have a question about hammer toe. It seems I am beginning to get it and want to know is it normal for my toes to be in such pain because of it?? Its almost unbearable for me to wear shoes, even have a blanket on my toes, just to touch my toes sends me through the roof w/pain. I dont see my MDA doctor again until June so I thought I would ask you all if any of you know. Thanks again. Laurie in Sarasota
Guest guest
Hi Laurie, I have hammer toes also and the only time I can remember having pain with them is before I started wearing orthotics. I was also in really bad shoes. (sometimes I miss those high heels). As soon as I got orthotics in a good pair of sneakers I noticed a tremendous difference. As Gretchen said New Balance is a good sneaker and I wear sneakers now. My podiatrist has said you don't want a sneaker that bends in the middle. Only at the toe. And I believe she's right. sneakers are very rigid in the middle so no bending. I hope you find some relief soon. Elaina.
