Guest guest
Elaine, I've been doing the aquatics for about 3 1/2 years now. And yes, I was diagnosed as a child. It wasn't until I turned 30 that I got the " exercise bug " and then I did aerobics, yoga, power walking and other stuff. Have been swimming and biking since childhood (even before my diagnosis) and after. LOL just had this problem with " team sports " - couldn't do it/keep up, even with volleyball, for example. Exercise on my own - at my own pace - has been the best. I don't even think of aquatics as " exercise " these days...it is so fun. Yesterday I kicked the current up to 7 mph deciding I needed more of a challenge. Well, I got the challenge, a bit too much, but it was interesting to see how well I did. Now I have a new goal - to do my entire circuit with a 7 mph current going the whole time. I figure I can take the next 6 months to reach my goal (by Christmas time) ~ Gretchen
Guest guest
Hi Amy same with us. I think my daughters plagio is getting worse. The left side of the back of her head is shifitng and it's starting to shift all her bones. Her ears are starting to shift and so is her forehead. She won't be able to get her helmet till she's 5 months old. I don't know what to do for her head any more either. I've tried everything. Her therapist told us to keep her out of her bouncey seat and swing as much as possible. So she spends like 75 percent of the day on her tummy or her good side. I only have 2 exercises down pat, she gave us a ton too. But is only going to be our 2nd visit to the therapist. My daughter is in the 39 percentile for her motor skills. SHe said if they didn't get better that it was going to delay her motor skills and of course there not getting any better. So I'm not one to give advice about your exercises.
