Guest guest
I just wanted to take a minute and address the chiropractor issue a little bit. I wish more doctors would recommend them to those of us with CMT. About 13 years ago my right knee was just killing me. I went to see my doctor. He gave me arch supports and a knee brace. They both helped. We also talked about surgery. I wore the brace as needed which was a lot. I struggled with awful knee pain while I was pregnant with my son. Two days after my son was born my husband dragged me to see his chiropractor. I was afraid to see a chiropractor but being in so much pain I would have tried anything. That visit changed my life. I am a believer now. I have not had to use that knee brace since. When my knee pain starts up I go in to get an adjustment. The way I walk put stress on my knees being aligned right makes a pain free difference. (Just a simple back adjustment fixes my knee alignment.) My hip went out this weekend. I was in so much pain I could not raise my leg more then an inch. I went in for an adjustment yesterday and today I am so much better. I am just very sore from all the muscles I pulled trying to get into the car. Tomorrow I am going in for a second adjustment to be on the safe side. I would hate to think what my life would be like without a chiropractor.
