Smart Meter Update - April 30, 2012

Reminder and Request for Speakers

Vancouver Council Meeting, May 1st, 9:30 amTomorrow, Tuesday, May 1st, at 9:30

am,  e Carr, Vancouver Councillor, will present a SMART METER OPT OUT

MOTION at Vancouver City Council Meeting requesting that all individuals who

refuse a smart meter will be allowed to opt out at no extra cost.

Reminder - Please attend the Vancouver Council Meeting on May 1st at 9:30 a.m.,

Vancouver City Hall, 453 West 12th Avenue, Vancouver (12th & Cambie). No

speakers allowed at this meeting.

SPEAKERS REQUESTED

One and all are invited to speak to the wireless smart meter issues. Everyone

who has concerns about Smart Meters can register to be heard by Mayor and

Council at the next Committee meeting scheduled for May 2nd, 9:30 a.m. (unless

otherwise advised during May 1st Council Meeting).

The ONLY way to ensure representation and protect our democratic rights is to

speak out. Please act on this important opportunity to speak to mayor and

council requesting they stand up for individual's democractic, civil and human

rights currently being ignored by BC Liberals and BC Hydro. The Vancouver vote

decision may have strong impact on the rest of BC, so please participate from

all areas as you are able.
