Guest guest
Hello Joyce, Something I do for hands and fingers - I do this in the pool or also in the bathtub, so the water is over 90F both places. 1) Rapidly touch baby finger to thumb, then 4th finger to thumb, then middle finger to thumb, then index finger to thumb, over and over on both hands. (This is like those neurological tests the docs give us to see how our fingers move). 2) Then I make a " O " with my thumb touching my index finger and with my index finger on the other side, try to break that " O " . (So I am just working against my own strength here) Then I continue this with other fingers and the other hand. 3) Sculling (or scooping) the water back and forth; this means I cup my hands, and one at a time, I push water forward, then backward a bunch of times. Then the same on the other hand. 4) There is another one, but involves arms near hips with palms of hands up. I bring arms up to the surface of water. Then turn palms down to push water back down to hips. (This one won't work in the bathtub tho - just the pool) I have another listing/grouping of water exercises I borrowed from one of the Aquatics teachers and will post it soon.
