Guest guest
Hi : We recently changed insurance from my work place to my husband's job insurance coverage and I was really worried that it would be a problem for me and my son. But my husband inquired prior to the switch and the agent told him that with group insurance they can't refuse to cover you with a pre-existing such as CMT. And that has worked for us. So far, I have used it to get new AFO's and my son has had a dr visit to inquire about tendon surgery due to so many sprained ankles related to weakened condition and CMT. So far they haven't even questioned the fact that we have CMT and of course came into the program with it. I think it's only a problem if you have to get a private policy. 'Course, I think these insuance companies make up the rules as they go!! Good luck.
