Guest guest
My 10 yr.old daughter is allergic to latex and broke out in hives from fixing an angel she broke with liquid nails. I gave her benadry and hydrocortizone/anti-itching cream and that helped. I called the company too to see if there was any correlation between that, latex, and other things shes reacted to but they didnt know. They were very kind and sympathetic though and did call back twice to see how she was doing during the day. She broke out and itched like crazy to a sheet of vinly put behind as a photo backdrop at church. How is that related to latex? Or do I have to eliminate vinyl now? Two others,my 4 & 8 yr olds were diagnosed with asthma Thurs. I thought it was a cough that just wouldnt go away, well it is now isnt it? I came home with l0 prescriptions for those two, breathing treatments and have 4 more kids to get seen this week for same thing. Dr.said it goes along with allergies.I feel awful because I didnt catch it after having it myself. I have an asthma attack if theres one balloon in the room. I guess thats why she is the dr. and not me! We have an ecoquest air cleaner which does work great for us. After the first week the boys' nosebleeds stopped and much less sneezing going on. For a quick recap:Our family has Celiac disease,we've been gluten free for 4 yrs,I developed many autoimmune diseases and complications from it going undiagnosed for so long, including mcs. We got rid of all chemicals, everything is fragrance free, got rid of carpet, cloth furniture, then finally the house because I couldnt breathe with the neighbors'dryer sheets smell, fires, and such. We've been on a 5 acre kinda secluded house and a lot of things are better but we still react, just quicker to unfamiliar chemicals. We're considering relocating to where the air is much cleaner and a little bit colder to kill off the bad stuff in the air. scorecard.org:put zip in and it tells any contaminents, chemicals in air, land, water. Ours is in the red zone, where we're looking is in the green. I feel like this is getting a bit much. In addition to the celiac, they all have different food allergies, epi pens and it gets a bit much sometimes! Anyone else go through anything like this? Anyone have any suggestions? Thank you all very much. Lynne(central florida)
