Guest guest
Hi, I am enquiring as to whether there is any info on the net about 'walk ons'. I am seeing my orthotics person on Monday and feel I need more than the AFOs I currently wear. Your email , is almost a carbon copy of my life with CMT and I am now being retired from work where I was a Police Radio Dispatcher (Communications Officer). I do occasionally use a wheelchair something that I resisted for a long time but last week I went for a push with my boyfriend and saw things, (wallabies would you believe Manchester England) that I didn't think I would see again unless in a car. We ended up sat outside a pub where a barbeque was on, without the chair I would once again been either sat inside or outside at home. I still yet havn't used it where I live mainly because I don't want my neighbours etc to see me in it, crackers I know. Anyway I best get off now, got a lot to do as my boyfriend of 2 years is now going to move in with me in 2 weeks! So there is light at the end of the tunnel (not always a train ha ha) - Sorry for waffling on. Love to all. Jilly
Guest guest
Wow , That is great news. It sounds like we have a lot of the same CMT symptoms, although I could not have the ankle fusion. I can't wait to try out this brace. Jackie
Guest guest
Sounds really good . Is your balance improved with the Walk On? And do you think the Walk On gives you more balance than standard AFOs? Thanks Again, Jimmy
