Guest guest
Sandeep, The pool I use is indoors. It is one of 2 pools that our fitness center has here. It is about 15 feet in length, about 4 feet or so wide, and about 5 feet deep. It can be made deeper - up to 7 feet, I think, by removing the bottom panels. The pool is heated to 92F, since it is also used for physical therapy. Another benefit is that there is no warm up time for me, I get in and immediately start working. There is a lift for people who use scooters or wheelchairs or who can't use the ladder/steps to get in. No diving is allowed. The pool has different currents to use for resistance - up to 7 miles per hour. So, in answer to your question, no, this is not a " normal " pool, but there is no reason the exercises I do cannot be done in a normal pool - obviously you wouldn't have a current, nor such a warm temperature and most of the work would need to be done in the 5 foot range, so some Aqua-steps would be needed and some other basic gear.
