Guest guest
Elaine, While being under the care of a neurologist, once diagnosed, it can be good to check in every 6 months or so. I did this for awhile in my early years. Now my Internist can handle what I need, or my orthopedist. I have discovered they are smarter than the neurologists. As for physical therapists, I have had good results there - either my Internist or Orthopedist has written prescriptions for what I need, when I need it, like after surgery. We have a totally awesome physical therapy center here. In my early teens (circa the 1960s) I had some physical therapy for some spaciscity I was having, and also from a fall off a horse. Physical Therapy then was horrible. The profession has changed so much - for the better and I know all I have done in that regard and in my exercise program has helped tremendously with balance.
