Guest guest Posted May 8, 2012 Report Share Posted May 8, 2012 Robin, I tend to lean towards having the patient do a carb to insulin ratio to cover whatever carbs they are able to tolerate. I try not to give set amount of cho intake since the goal is to promote mindful eating, listening to their body, etc. That way, the patient can adjust insulin to meet carb intake, not the other way around.
