I have found Opurity through Unjury to be a good product regarding the

appropriate vitamin A content, it is 50% beta carotene vs. retinol. Opuruity has

a multivitamin made for lap band and gastric bypass. Go to unjury.com.

Hope that helps!

Vitamins in post-op renal patients

What vitamin guidelines do you use for renal patients (both HD and non-HD) after

bariatric surgery? I haven't been able to find much information about this

topic. Thanks!

I found a great paper on this topic for bypass patients specifically:

Lightner AM, Lau J, Obayashi P, et al. Potential nutritional conflicts in

bariatric and renal transplant patients. Obes Surg. 2011;21:1965-1970

If you're unable to access the article, I have it in pdf.
