Guest guest
You may ask her if her reaction is to lactose, whey or casein. If she is not allergic to whey she may be okay with an isolated whey protein. You can also get pea or rice proteins which are available at some health food stores or I use companies such as Metagenics or Thorne, they have many low allergen meal replacements and vitamins Tina Musselman RD, CCN, MAMind, Body & Wellness Institute(708) 846-5816 (p) From: "Bizzarro, A Civ USAF AFMC 88 DTS/SGQD" <melissa.bizzarro@...> Sent: Thursday, February 16, 2012 10:19 AMSubject: allergies and protein Hello everyone, I have a patient with a whole list of allergies and I am having trouble finding protein supplement that does not contain any of them. She apparently is allergic to milk, soy, coconut, egg, glycerin, yeast and citric acid. It is not clear who diagnosed her with all of these, but, she will not consume any foods with these ingredients. Are there any protein supplements out there that she would be able to consume? It seems they either are made with whey protein, soy protein or egg protein! If anyone can give me even a couple of names I would greatly appreciate it. Have a great day.
