Guest guest
We are working with a new surgeon who is suggesting patients are smoke free for 4-6 months prior to surgery for tissue healing/perfusion reasons. Can others comment on what you are following for smoking cessation at your clinics? Also what labs do you check and how often (she is proposing random monthly testing for 4-6 months)? Does your smoking cessation policy cover other things like marijuana or metables (edible marijuana)? Is there a best practice that is proposed by ASMBS? Thanks for your time!
