Guest guest
Does anyone know of a web based nutrition analysis program that has a good database of foods and lets you add and save new foods and recipes? Guest guest
Fitday seems to have a reasonable database, you can add new foods under “custom foods” which allows you to copy the nutrition facts label. As far as recipes go though you can’t store the recipe but could enter it as a food if you have already done the nutrition breakdown. Guest guest
You can save recipes in http://www.myfitnesspal.com/ (app available for apple and android)..it also stores foods as "frequents" after you enter them once. The app has a barcode scanner. Our patients who use it love it...it has helped many of our patients with pre and post op weight loss. Guest guest
Thanks all for your input. I am creating new bariatric recipes so I'm looking for good overall recipe analysis programs/software vs analysis for individual foods and daily intakes. Any other suggestions? I'll be sharing the recipes when they are done.-Dara Dara Bergen, MPH, RD, CDN Registered Dietitian & Nutritionist 718-544-0770 www.darabergen.com--- On Tue, 7/3/12, Dana Schaub <dancindrpea@...> wrote:From: Dana Schaub <dancindrpea@...>Subject: Re: online nutrition analysis program" " < >Date: Tuesday, July 3, 2012, 4:49 PM You can save recipes in http://www.myfitnesspal.com/ (app available for apple and android)..it also stores foods as "frequents" after you enter them once. Guest guest
This would really be great Dara – thanks for sharing! Are you planning on making the serving sizes bariatric friendly (1/2 -1 1/2/ cups) or just typically servingsizes for a recipe?
