I'm definitely interested in talking about protocols. Ewing From: on behalf of Tiana ColovosSent: Tue 5/22/2012 6:39 PM Subject: Meet and Greet at ASMBS Does anyone know if there is a scheduled DPG get together at ASMBS? I would like to propose one if there is nothing formally organized. I am willing to coordinate and will bethere Mon through Thursday with the most available time probably Mon night and all day Tues. We can do something very simple like rendevous in the hotel lobby, see how the turnoutis and go from there (dinner, cocktails, go outdoors or stay put.)I would love to share notes and hear others' viewpoints on a few protocols we have here at UWMC and (I will bring) and clinical challenges we encounter. I will have our vitaminmineral protocol, lab surveillance protocol, thiamine repletion draft for the ED and micronutrient dosing guidelines draft. I would also love to compare notes on diagnosingmicronutrient deficiencies using the help of a systematic nutrition focused physical exam. You can email me directly and I will put together a list of interested folks so we can communicate among ourselves. Feel free to make suggestions, especially if something workedespecially well at past ASMBS meetings. Thanks, TianaTiana F. There was a great reception a few years ago. Cocktails and hors doeuvres and give away books. I don't remember who organised it but it was so much fun to meet everyone and network. Count me in if you hear anything

There will be a RD Networking Session during ASMBS on Tuesday after the last

session. Last I knew the DPG was also trying to put together a gathering as

well, but I have not seen any more info on this. I'm sure it will be

forthcoming. So no one needs to try and organize anything on their own. It's in

the works!

Hello,

Tina - if you are still iterested - Greiman and I would love to have you

help facilitate part of the networking meeting this year. We are looking at a

brief sign-in time and then breaking out into topics of interest for RDs. Please

send me a quick email with your contact info and if anyone else has a request

for specific topics or have info you would like to share - please respond ASAP.

I have not seen any sponsored get together, but wonder if after our networking

session if everyone would want to more inoformally " meet n greet "

Please let me know if you will be attending ASMBS, the RD Networking session on

Tues and your interest level in meeting afterwards.

Best,
