We are now running into the problem where our billing department is not allowing us to bill for the services because it is specific to pulmonary function. These services are reimbursable through insurance companies and I have set it up at another hospital without a problem performing and billing for the test. Does anyone else have a metabolic cart that you bill for and do you have any issues with reimbursement since you are not a pulmonologist? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
