Guest guest
Hi! I am new to the group.. My name is and I am a RD at Our Lady of lake Regional Medical Center. I work in the outpatient Diabetes and Nutrition Center and the RD's here also see Bariatric patients pre and post op. Is anyone familiar with a product called ViSalus? A patient states her friend is encouraging this product for her protein supplement. I am not familiar with it but I do not think it would be appropriate with the bariatric surgery patient. The product has only 12 g protein in 2 scoops.. Ingredients listed: soy protein isolate, digestive resistant maltodextrin, when protein hydorlysate and whey protein concentrate etc... We normally encourage whey protein isolate. I am not sure if this is a good option or not. Any suggestions? thanks!
