Predisone is an anti-inflammatory drug that normally works very well however

is does have a tendency to cause water retention which makes you look like

you're gaining weight around your face, neck mainly. Normally there really

isn't a waiting period for it to work however you do need to be taken off it

slowly, cutting back little at a time. I know from reading everybody's posts

on enbrel is there is no waiting period. But for most of the drugs for PA

there is a waiting period before seeing the effectiveness (or

noneffectiveness). And you have to keep in mind that what works for one

doesn't always work for another. But I do wish you both luck in dealing with

the disease. Oh- I almost forgot my most standard line---Predisone can cause

loss of bone density so make sure check with your physician because you may

need to add calcium and vitamin d along with the daily medication.

HELLO JULIE,

HOPE ALL IS WELL. FUNNY, BECAUSE I REALLY THOUGH THAT EVERYONE WITH CMT HAVE

DOUBLE JOINTS...BUT I CAN SEE..IS NOT! WELL, WHAT ABOUT THIS WEAKNESS AND

FATIGUE? THAT I THINK, WE ALL SHARE IT. I ALSO HAVE THIS AWFUL FEELING WHEN I AM

WALKING. AFTER BEEN WALKING FOR A WHILE I DO NEED TO STOP, SITTING DOWN, IN

ORDER TO RECHARGE MY BATTERIES. DO YOU HAVE THAT SOMETIMES?

IT IS LIKE IF THE FOOT GETS SO TIRED AND CAN NOT TAKE IT ANYMORE. GETS FLOPS,

WEAK,I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DESCRIBE IT. I LOSE THE FEELING OF MY RIGHT FOOT. THE

FOOT GETS VERY TIRED AND START TO GIVE IN.

WHEN I GO TO THE POOL NOW, I JUST DO A LITTLE EXERCISES BEFORE GETS

THIS SYMPTOMS!
