I read so many comments on pain.My pain in general is a constant 5-6.

Degenerative Disc Disease is major diagnosis. Arthritis, and probably

several other possible diagnosis's-- beginning of CMT, MS, Fibro.

For the most part I just hurt and go on with life the best I can.

There are a few things one might consider for self help, other than

medications.

Hip Pain: When they elevated my heel (short leg)...my hip pain went

away. Reason being that is was not my hip at all, but the alignment

of the lower back. I no longer wear the elevated heel, too expensive,

but I pay attention to the lower back. My knee pain went away as well, when I

dealt with the lower back. The Spiro spring shoes have truly made a difference

too.

I was advised when sitting or driving to sit on a small pillow,

tucked on the short leg side. This really does improve the strain-pull on the

back.

Sometimes I sleep with the pillow between the knees and ankles. They

now have a full body pillow on the market.(I should have made money

on that one. I sewed two pillows together back in the 60's to help

me).

Anyway, Pillows, under the tummy area (small pillows)are just

right to support stomach muscles when you sleep on your side or tummy.

It is impossible for me to sleep on my back. It cannot be done

because of the spine curvature.

Anyway, if one uses their imagination and a little common sense, we can help

ourselves.
