Guest guest
I agree that cold is very important for Pediasure and other food supplements. Having had to take them myself, you might want to try Slimfast. My son (has the textures thing in spades) prefers chocolate Boost. Again, very cold. You might even puree it with snowcone ice. Instant Breakfast, canned or powdered, is a good option. I'm not sure whether the canned variety has a canned taste or not--try both. You can sometimes get Carnation, which you mix with milk, in a huge canister for economy and ease. My son, unfortunately, is also lactose intolerant, so he can drink only Boost and Ensure, as they have no lactose. Could it be Summer is lactose intolerant? Might explain the tummy aches. Altho I think the medications might also cause tummy aches. My son has a lot of gas and diarrhea which I attribute to meds. Surely there is a different vitamin prep that won't bother her stomach--I'd ask around or experiment. Judy Re: Summer Hi , Summer has been doing great this past coupleof weeks. She has really taken a big step forward inwhat she will wear. she is still really limited andnow socks are wore inside out and pulled so they hangoff her toes and don't touch skin but oh well. We arehaving alot of trouble with seatbelts again becauseshe doesn't fit into the carseat with a winter coatand intensely dislikes the feel of the toothbrush inher mouth. Oh we went to the dietician who wants her to starton pediasure because of her food texture issues. My 4yr old has grey hair! Anyways we got some home and shehates it! the dietician also wants me to take her offher multivitamin because that may be causing her tummyaches. Oh goodness now what will she get in the way ofnutrition? Hugs teela_______________________________________________________
